Have you ever been maybe-in love?
Where you're so close, you might as well be?
Where your actions and compassion speak
louder than any three words ever could?
Have you ever felt almost-love?
Where you think you feel it, but not quite sure?
Where any hint of anything scares you
because they might not feel anything at all?
Have you ever been so close to the edge?
Where you're basically there, that you may as well say it?
Where you say it every day anyways,
even though you don't say a word?
And if actions speak louder than words
(you said so yourself), what is the need?
Especially when there is great risk involved?
Because it's an emotional release.
It's not the same as being heard.
But you show it, through actions and inflection.
It's a confirmation of what we know as truth.
